Founder of Classical Voices, Emily Steventon, was trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, for 6 years, gaining first a Bmus(hons) and then a Masters on their prestigious Opera Course. With broad experience on both stage and concert platform, she has had the pleasure of working with artists such as Sir Simon Rattle, Sarah Walker, Graham Johnson, Ian Burnside, Sir Trevor Nunn and Christopher Maltman and has performed in venues across Europe, such as the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin Philharmonie, Edinburgh Festival Theatre and the Wales Millennium Centre. Whilst pursuing an active career in opera and as a recitalist, Emily still enjoys performing with the other equally talented singers who combine under the name ‘Classical Voices’. When Emily moved to Kent she saw the opportunity to offer superb London standards specifically for Kent and East Sussex. Since then ‘Classical Voices’ has offered a unique service which combines excellence with the friendly personal touch one might expect from a local organisation.
